How to measure your speed correctly
Before you start, close any downloads, apps, video calls and other devices that are using the internet at home.
Connect by cable
To ensure a reliable result, carry out the test on a computer connected to the router via an Ethernet cable. Avoid doing this via Wi-Fi, on mobile phones, televisions or games consoles, because they may show a lower speed than the actual one.
